Girls Trip

I am lucky to have such fun girlfriends who like to do fun things together. We took a girls trip to Vegas. We had such a great time. Baby Ira got to go, lucky him. Thanks to Scott and Melissa we took a girls only night out to the show Beatles Love. It was so amazing and a must see! I think I could see it several more times and still miss stuff. So back home I am for a while. We are busy, well Jon is busy getting our backyard all done and ready for grass. The fence, tramp and grass will make my summer as well as Beck's.

We got to go meet Becky and Ben in Las Vegas. Beck loved spending time with his cousin Ben and Ira defiantly has a little hearing problem after his time with Ben:) Lets just say Ben has a healthy set of lungs. I had a okay time with Becky:) She is a lot of fun and keeps me laughing.

We escaped on a girls weekend plus Ira in Arizona. We got to visit my aunt Bonnie and friend Jessica. We had a great time and really enjoyed the nice weather, good shopping, and great food. Beck got to stay with his Gee Gee and Papa and Dad. Lucky boy!

Missionary Grandparent

Jon's parents just left to serve a mission in Ghana Africa. What an adventure they are in for. We are so excited to hear all about their service and feel very blessed to have them serving the lord. Although we will miss them while they are away. We plan to have some good visits at our newly available Las Vegas home.

My little Ira got to wear Beck's Valentine outfit that I had for him when he was a baby. Ira is so sweet. He is weighing in at 14lbs which to our surprise is in the 20th percentile. I think the pictures of him are deceiving and he is not quite as chunky as he looks. He does have very full cheeks. He must store his fat there.

Beck has a cool new Boo(Blue) room. It is a big boy room. He lasts about half the night and then ventures into Mom and Dad's room. Last night Jon was down the hall and on his way to our room he found Beck asleep in the hallway. I guess he was just too tired to make it into our room. Hey I would rather have that than have him in bed with us. I know I should keep his door shut and so he gets use to sleeping all night in his room but I just don't have the heart. I guess I figure one day he will not want to cuddle with mom and put his feet in Dad's face.

Life at home

It is only fair that Beck gets to swing with Ira. Beck is also into dancing and I put Ira in his bouncer at Beck's request so he can dance for the baby. He says " Watch me baby Watch me I dance" If Ira turns away Beck is quick to run over and get right in his face and says " Watch me baby Watch me I dance"


Ira constantly is spitting up so this is a perfect picture of him.


Beck thinks he is so cool and he is! Such a great brother.

Happy Birthday to our little Beck Boy. He is such a joy in our lives and we are so lucky to have such a loving happy boy.

Domincan Republic

We have really gotten use to the Helm tradition of escaping the cold Utah Christmas weather and heading somewhere warm to celebrate the holiday. This year we go to go to the Dominican Republic, an island in the Carri bean where Jon served his mission. It was a beautiful place that we all loved. We rented a villa on the beach and enjoyed the sun, food, waterfalls, and crazy Dominican drivers. It was great to see the a little of the area Jon served in and meet a few close friends. It was a restful vacation with lots of babysitting help thanks to my family.

First, I must apologize about the header. Sometimes blogger decides read the exact same html differently from one day to the next. I usually can fix it rather quickly, but they are even more retarded than usual.

Here is one of my favorite videos from the last few months (in case all of you are tired of looking at pictures of Beck and Ira). Jess says videos are annoying on blogs...she is really going to hate this one...a sideways video. We encountered this slide in Vegas when we were visiting my parents. Apparently they like to give the children of Vegas adrenaline rushes from a young age so that nothing but gambling and strip clubs will satisfy them when older. This was the steepest slide I have ever witnessed...and Beck was feeling brave that day.

Ira's Blessing

Ira was blessed by his father on December 2, 2007. It was a beautiful snowy day and he was a little angel. He wore the same outfit as Beckham. It was a very special day for our family and we were surrounded by many loved one.

Thanksgiving Holiday

It was great to get away for the Holiday weekend. We ran down to Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with Jon's parents. We went out to Lucille's this fabulous restaurant and a must if you are in the Vegas area. Then we went back to St George where we spent time with the Helm Family and my Grandpa and Grandma Helm. Grandpa Helm made our family favorite Chile Verde. One day I will have him teach me how. Jon of course had to get home on Sat for the big BYU v.s Utah game that he had a ticket for. I stayed in St George a few more days to enjoy some warmer weather and some good babysitting with the help of all the family. All in all we had a wonderful time and now will look forward to the Christmas season.

I now have more of a reason to love the name Ira. My mom remembered yesterday that there was a book that we use to love to read when we were young called Ira Sleeps Over. Sure enough I looked it up today and the memories of loving that book came flooding back. I now Love the name Ira:) I guess he was suppose to be an Ira.
