Ruby at 14 1/2 months

Snapped these shots right before she had to get shots. Poor babe. She is getting a mouth full of little teeth.

Baby # 17

We had to have our last little celebration before baby #17 joined the group. We did it in the nick of time. A few hours later little Rowan Lorriane Hemming was born. She is so tiny and beautiful. Of course she would be with Les as her Mama. So nice to enjoy a friends new baby.

Noah's Arc

Last night Beckham sat with Candice and had her read him the entire friend. They came upon a page of pictures young kids had drawn. Beck decided that he wanted to make on and send it into the Friend. He chose Noah's Arc. He added a very nice giraffe and snake. Also take note at the storm that the Arc is approaching.

Ruby is 14 Months Old

GG first taught Beck what we call "So Big". Ira learned and now it has been passed to Ruby.




Ruby:

Loves to chat on her cell phone. Saying “hi" to whomever she is chatting with.

Has a constant ear infection. I think all her new teeth don’t help

Loves being outside. She screams when she is left inside. While outside she plays in
the rocks and enjoys a good jump on the tramp.

Still pretty content to stay in one spot. You wont catch this girl moving around too much. Plus in order to crawl she would have to remove her thumb from her mouth.

Beck hits the slopes

Jon finally got Beck up skiing. A little late in the season. Beck is in love with it. He told Jon that he liked it so much he is going to need his own skis. Ira wants to join them next week. I guess that means Mom will have to strap on some skis. It is so fun to see your kids doing the things that you love(Jon) or use to love (Jess).

Oldies but Goodies

My girlfriends from High School. So glad to still have these women in my life.Wish we could all live in Farmington together.

another year....

I don't really like the idea of getting older but I do love a good Birthday. The big 31 did not disappoint. My Mom spent the day with the kids and I. Then Jon came home early to surprise me. He had planned to watch all my friends kids so that we could go get pedicures. We finished the night with my family at Tepanyaki. Loved this birthday and grateful for family and friends that make my life great!





The ballon maker at the resturant just wipped this Mario up for Beck. Amazing!!!






Jess Lindley had the families over to celebrate Ben and I's big 31. Love to be with these people. We needed Brit and Heather to complete the picture. I was late on snapping the shot. Thanks Jess and Ben for sharing your night.

Girls Girls Girls and Vegas

Life in Lehi is never dull with my crew of girls around. We took our semi annual Lehi girls only trip to Vegas this past weekend. We missed our prego Leslie, and Heather. Just not quite the same without the entire crew. Britney was a nice addition. We of course ate ,got our free cheesecake, played some great April Fools pranks, spent 2 1/2 hrs in the new H&M, and soaked up that warm weather. Never a dull or quiet moment. Now back to our simple country life.


I love our new addition to the group in this shot. Oh She is a keeper.




This is Britney's toiletry bag that contains any possible item you could ever need in your life. She keeps it packed and ready to go. I just could not get over it. I am lucky if I remeber to bring deodorant and maybe a toothbrush along.

A girl thing

Ruby loves to be near her Mama. I love this little face that she makes once she gets a glimpse of me across the room. A girl on a mission to make it to her Mom's lap. Where she is content to spend her days sucking away at her thumb.

Ruby is 13 Months

This little girl is so much fun. She has started trying to chat a lot with us. She has learned to say Uh-Oh and Growl at you. She also can make a kiss sound when you ask her for a kiss. Still a loves to cuddle up to Mama (as she calls me). Occasionally Dad can get a 5 second cuddle from the Doll. She is not big into any toys. It is pretty rare that you will find Ruby playing with toys. If I am anywhere near she likes to crawl on over and sit right on Mama's lap. Happy to just be held. She has started to suck her thumb even more than usual, hope we can break that habit one day. I put her hair in a few little buns and this was the aftermath. We love having this living doll in our family. With her grough manly sounding laugh and all.

Girl

My friend’s always give me a hard time for being a little lax about keeping bows in Ruby girl’s hair. I told my friend Leslie the other day that I needed to trim around Ruby's ears because her hair was getting too long. She laughed and said "Oh No honey, Ruby is a girl remember? You let the hair grow". I am so use to keeping hair short with the boys that I did not even think I could do anything different with Ruby. I do think a darling little bob will fit the doll quite nicely. Anyhow yesterday I did three little buns in her hair. I really outdid my normal self. I did not snap a shot of it done but here is the aftermath. She did look darling. I guess I am turning a new leaf. So eat your hearts out girlfriends.
P.S I think this is why Ruby is turning more and more to her thumbs.

February at the Cabin

We spent this past weekend up at the Shipley’s cabin. We took my parents and Candice and Dave. We had a great adventure in the snow. Beck spent all his time outside. He was in his element. He sledded down Richard’s hill for many hours. He was the last one left on the hill. Ira also enjoyed being in the snow. He had a hard time moving through it all. W also woke up to a foot of new powder. We had a riot playing all day in it. The hard part came to leaving. We had driven our car in and now needed to get out. We would have been stuck until spring if it was not for Richard’s snow cat. He got our car unstuck several times and in the end had to pull us the entire way down Maple Creek Canyon. Okay Jon, from now on we will snowmobile in.
