Mexican Riviera

We spent our Christmas cruising this year. The entire Helm clan (minus Ruby). Yes, I know I am terrible for leaving my baby on her very first Christmas. I still cannot believe Matt and Becky kept her for an entire week during Christmas. Jon and I had a lot of time without the boys, thanks to a terrific kid’s camp. We were able to be a part of Team Sherman, watch Liz knit and then re knit an entire neck wrap, the girls spent some time in the sauna clothed, beat Candice and Dave in a shuffle board match, Watched 2 giant Humpback Whales breech right in front of our little taxi boat, view the Mazatlan cliff divers, and have Greg (a very nice looking tourist), take us to a beautiful beach in Puerto Vallarta. For 3 years my Mom has said this is the last trip. We are glad that she can't bear the thought of sticking out a freezing cold Christmas in Utah. Such great memories are created for our family each year.

Christmas Morning

We had an early Christmas morning. We celebrated on December 22nd, since were were going to be in Sunny Mexico on the real day. Beck wrote a letter to Santa, asking him to make an early arrival to his Papa's house. We all went up and slept and Papa and Grandma Helm's house. It was fun to have Zach and Liz and of course Candice and Dave. We stayed up late and dressed up Zach in a 1990's snow suit. It was the only red items we could find. We sent him into the back yard, and yelled for the boys to come check out Santa. They cautiously peered out the window and saw the Jolly old man, prancing through Papa's yard. Hey it looked pretty good in the dark. Beck instantly stated that they better hurry to bed. Christmas morning was great. Beck got his Space Ship and Roller Coaster. Ira got his Dinosaur. All wishes came true.

We went to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point with the Shipley Family. Grandma and Grandpa Shipley gave this spaceship to Beck. This is how I found him in bed this night. Ira had his dinosur also tucked right in next to him.

Happy Birthday Mama

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mother. She does so much for our family and is the most selfless person I have ever known. She always puts her family first and we are grateful for all her love and attention that she gives us. Because of her we have many many amazing memories together as a family. Especially ones of being together on our annual trips. Non of them would happen with out her. We love our one of a kind Mom, Pammy Cakes, and Dama.
