February at the Cabin

We spent this past weekend up at the Shipley’s cabin. We took my parents and Candice and Dave. We had a great adventure in the snow. Beck spent all his time outside. He was in his element. He sledded down Richard’s hill for many hours. He was the last one left on the hill. Ira also enjoyed being in the snow. He had a hard time moving through it all. W also woke up to a foot of new powder. We had a riot playing all day in it. The hard part came to leaving. We had driven our car in and now needed to get out. We would have been stuck until spring if it was not for Richard’s snow cat. He got our car unstuck several times and in the end had to pull us the entire way down Maple Creek Canyon. Okay Jon, from now on we will snowmobile in.

Beck Get's Stitches

Beck tripped on our kitchen rug and took a header into a leg of our kitchen table. He received a pretty nasty, deep wound. Fortunately Jon was home to calmly handle the situation. We took him to the ER where he received 8 stitches. His gash went through to the scull. I told him if he would remain calm during his shot and stitches than he could go and pick up Mario Kart for the WII. He had about 6 shots right in his wound. He held perfectly still and did not make one peep. What a sweet, strong, brave boy. This was defiantly more traumatic on his mother. We reminisced about how Aunt Candice cut her head open around Valentines when she was 5 as well. Mom, once again was more worked up than Candice. He talked to Aunt Candice right when he walked out of the ER. Such a lucky boy to have so many people love and care about your well being. Now for Mom's sake, lets home the wound heals up nicely, your future wife will also agree.

Happy 1st Birthday Ruby

Our little doll is now one years old. We had a great celebration!

Ruby did not like us all singing to her. She started bawling.

Ruby Get's Teeth

Grammy Pammy knitted this darling sweater for Ruby girl. She also made me this amazing skirt to go with it.

The two top and two bottom have made their appearance. She could not be more unhappy about it during the night. She is not quite ready to show them off.

Love Love Love

Ruby is so excited to see the boys each morning. Today we were trying to wake up Beck for school. So I layed Ruby on him and she just cuddled right up to his face. This is the first picture I think I have ever taken where Beck wanted to be in the picture.

Every child must have a messy licorice shot. The Rub's and her second cousin Roman.

Haircuts all Around

It is amazing how a haircut can change the whole look and age of a person. The boys always seem so grown up when they get their hair cut. Beck is not to crazy about this new silly messy hair. Even the Rubs got a trim by Grammy Pammy.

Ruby Crawls

Just two weeks short of her first birthday, Ruby girl makes a move. Although she knows now that she can get around, she is still a little reserved about moving around too much. Of course mid crawl she has to stop to rip out her hair bow.

On the go

Ruby does not crawl yet. Not even slightly. But somehow she gets form her to there. I never really catch her in the act. I believe she scoots along on her bum.

St. George

We spent the weekend in St. George with just our family. We hiked a lot thanks to Beck the enthusiast as well as his Father. It was great to hit up all our favorite spots as well as find new ones.

Beckham is 5

We celebrated the big 5 complete with chocolate cupcakes, a new pet fish and lots of fun with GG, Papa, and the Helm crew. The next day we partyied once again with 9 of our friends at Monkey Island. Life is great for Beck at 5. Especially because he now has his new pet fish. Speedy(Beck's),Conan( Brigham's), and Wolly( Ira's).

Book of Mormon

This year in Primary they are encouraging the boys to bring their scriptures each week. I took the boys to the store and they each got a little Book of Mormon with their names monogrammed on them. Beck was counting down until Sunday, when he could take his very own scriptures to church. Our family has also set up some goals of reading the scriptures each night together. The boys seem to really enjoy the time that we spend doing. I am so glad that my kids have the Gospel and Primary. I also hope one day I can blow up these images and place them out at their Missionary Farwell.

Ruby is 11 months

Our little beauty is creeping right to the big 1. This past month has been tough on Ruby girl. She has had a nonstop ear infection. After 3 rounds of antibiotics we visited Uncle Scott (ENT) to determine that tubes may be the way to go. She still does not crawl and has no teeth. She has started to pull her little self up onto things. She is also very aware of familiar faces, especially Grammy Pammy. She practically leaps out of my arms for her. We will embrace this last month of my little girl being a sweet little baby.

Ira Starts Primary

Jon:"Ira, primary is going to be so much fun tomorrow." Beck: "Yeah, but not as fun as nursery. In primary we just learn stuff."
